Shelton Doctor Fined, Reprimanded By State Med Board
The doctor was fined and her medical license placed on probation.
SHELTON, CT — A Shelton doctor was fined $7,500 and reprimanded by the Medical Examining Board for changing a patient's chart after a complaint was filed against her.
Dr. Judith Major listed a spinal cord injury when prescribing a retired police officer medical marijuana despite the real diagnosis being post-traumatic stress disorder, according to the Connecticut Health Investigation Team.
The correct diagnosis was later added to the patient's record. Major didn't contest the allegations and agreed to the fine and her medical license being placed on probation for six months.
