Shelton Downtown Sounds Summer Concert 2026 Details Released
The beloved annual summer concert will bring live music, local food, artisans and community together along the Housatonic River.
SHELTON, CT — The city has released details for Celebrate Shelton's 12th annual Downtown Sounds Summer Concert scheduled to take place later this month.
According to the city's Facebook page, the return of the beloved summer concert event celebrates its 13th year of bringing live music, local food, artisans and community together along the Housatonic River.
The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Shelton on June 27 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and feature an exciting lineup of Connecticut-based musical talent, including The Alpaca Gnomes, PEAK, Modern Refuge and special guest DJ Doey Joey, according to the city.

According to the city's post, Downtown Sounds has become one of the region's premier summer events, drawing thousands of visitors from across the Naugatuck Valley and beyond for an evening of music, food, art and community spirit.
Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10 to help support Celebrate Shelton's year-round programming and community events, according to the city.

"This event has grown tremendously over the past 13 years, but its mission remains the same—to create a welcoming space where our community can gather, support local and enjoy incredible live entertainment," Celebrate Shelton founders Nicole Heriot-Mikula, Michael Skrtic and Jimmy Tickey said in a statement included in the post.
In addition to a full evening of live music, attendees can enjoy a diverse selection of local food vendors and food trucks, according to the city:

- Supreme Poutine
- Demitasse Specialty Coffee
- Doc's Lemonade
- Country Kettle Corn
According to the city, attendees can indulge in a pop-up bar featuring selections from New Belgium Brewing Company, Love Lou Wines and Bad Sons Brewing.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the evening with a variety of interactive activities and family fun, with highlights including high-energy and interactive fun from BringtheHoopla, a special meet and greet with Stitch and live performances by the talented Center Stage Theatre KIDS, making Downtown Sounds a destination for visitors of all ages, according to the city's post.
Attendees can also shop locally with curated handmade artisan vendors, connect with local community organizations and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made Downtown Sounds a summertime tradition throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley, according to the city.
Founded in 2012, Celebrate Shelton is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing community life through arts, culture, music and family-friendly events.
Through festivals, concerts, public art initiatives, and seasonal programming, Celebrate Shelton continues to showcase the best of Shelton while supporting local artists, businesses, and nonprofits, according to the city.
