Shelton Firefighters Battled Brush Fire

Firefighters battled a brush fire and rescued an elderly woman who fell down an embankment in separate incidents Tuesday.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton firefighters battled a brush fire in the 1000 block of Bridgeport Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

A 50 f00t by 50 foot section of brush had caught fire and firefighters extinguished it within 20 minutes, according to the Connecticut Post.

Firefighters also helped rescue an elderly woman who fell down a 20 foot embankment on the Woodland Trailer Park. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.
