SHELTON, CT — A Shelton fitness center employee is facing charges of stalking and harassment in a case involving a 17-year-old girl, the Shelton Police Department said Saturday.
The accused perpetrator, 27-year-old Justin Negron, was able to obtain the minor's cell phone number through the fitness centers' database, according to police.
The alleged harassment began on March 15, when Negron initially called the girl from the fitness center's work phone asking if she would be interested in a membership and personal training. When she declined, Negron is accused of sending the girl a series of texts from his personal phone number, which became sexual in nature.

A Shelton officer attempted to speak to Negron, who refused to cooperate in the investigation, police said. Ultimately, a warrant was issued for Negron's arrest, and Negron turned himself in on Thursday.
