Shelton High School Set for Football Championship Game
The top-ranked Gaels will meet No. 2 Darien in the Class LL finals Saturday afternoon in New Britain.
Shelton, CT - Shelton High School is hoping 13 will be a lucky number, as the 12-0 Gaels look to cap a perfect season in the Class LL football championship game.
Top-seeded Shelton will tangle with No. 2 Darien in the finals Saturday at Willow Brook Park in New Britain. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
Darien enters the game with an 11-0 record.

Both teams are looking to improve on last year’s runnerup seasons, conducted under a slightly different format. Shelton fell to Xavier 28-27 in overtime in the Class LL-Small finals, while Darien lost to New Canaan 21-20 in the Class L-Large finale.
