Shelton High Senior Killed in Rollover Crash: Police

SHELTON, CT - A senior at Shelton High School was killed in a rollover crash in Shelton early Sunday morning, police said.

Shelton police, fire and EMS responded to Bridgeport Avenue between Crown Point Plaza and Long Hill Cross Roads for a single vehicle rollover around 4:45 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, Edmund Conklin, 17, of Shelton was found on the road outside the vehicle.

Conklin was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The department’s accident reconstruction team is investigating the crash. Police have met with Shelton High School administrators and the school’s crisis team has been enacted.
