SHELTON, CT — A Shelton High School student was arrested after a video was posted of him making a threat while holding a gun, according to police.

Police got numerous reports Thursday about the video. Eliezer Reyes, 18, said that if someone messed with him at school he would kill someone, said Lt. Robert Kozlowsksy, police spokesman.

Police quickly identified Reyes and located him. They also seized a weapon that matched the one displayed in the video, Kozlowsksy said.

Reyes is charged with first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and brandishing a facsimile firearm. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is due in court Friday.

"Thank you to all that swiftly reported this incident to the police and provided the video for the investigation. This was key to resolving this issue in a timely manner," Kozlowsksy said.
