Shelton Home Invasion Victim Arrested For Marijuana Grow Operation: Police

The man told police he was tied up while two men rummaged through his home.

A Shelton man is facing charges when police found a marijuana grow operation in his home after he reported being the victim of a home invasion.

Police received a call around 10:30 a.m. Friday from a Quaker Ridge Road resident saying he had been the victim of a home invasion. Officers responded to the scene and were informed by the victim, 36-year-old William Frascatore that two men entered his home through an open door and “surprised him in his bedroom.”

The men tied up Frascatore and fled the house with jewelry and a cell phone, police said.

Frascatore said he was able to look out the window while he was tied up and saw the men flee in an older silver Honda Accord with a loud muffler, police said.

During the investigation police found a marijuana grow operation in the basement of the house. According to police, detectives were granted a search warrant and seized several marijuana plants, dried marijuana and growing equipment.

Frascatore was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana over four ounces, possession with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia and two counts of risk of injury of a minor.
