Shelton LongHorn Raises Money for Charity

The restaurant raised over $500 for St. Vincent's SWIM Across the Sound.

The Shelton LongHorn Steakhouse recently hosted a “Dining for Dollars” charity event to benefit St. Vincent’s SWIM Across the Sound Foundation.

Diners donated 10 percent of their total tab to the cause.

The event was held on June 2 from 4-5 p.m.

Diners who wished to participate requested a voucher from LongHorn Steakhouse upon their arrival. At the conclusion of the meal, the voucher was attached to diners’ bills and 10 percent of the total tab was donated to the organization. The restaurant raised over $500.

St. Vincent’s SWIM Across the Sound Foundation is a charitable, grass roots organization run by St. Vincent’s Medical Center. The SWIM Across the Sound provides cancer education, screening, and prevention programs at low- or no-cost for the underinsured and uninsured.
