Shelton Man Accused of Shooting and Killing His Wife Said He 'Just Snapped'
Apparently the Shelton couple was going to file for divorce before the husband allegedly "snapped," shooting and killing his wife.

SHELTON, CT-- An unsealed court document reveals details in the case a local man who allegedly murdered his wife last September, according to The New Haven Register.
Thomas Infante, 53, told police he "just snapped” after he was arrested on Sept. 28, 2015 after showing up at Shelton police headquarters in a blood-stained T-shirt. His wife, Lisa Infante, 53, was found dead by a family member one day earlier in her Shelton home on Sept. 27, 2015.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call and found Lisa Infante face down in her bed, wrapped in a blanket, with a gunshot wound in the back of her head, the paper reported. A .380-caliber bullet shell was found at the scene of the shooting, court documents revealed.
According to court records, Thomas J. Infante Jr., 53, has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, a Class A Felony.
A pre-trial hearing for Thomas Infante is scheduled for March 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. He is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail.
