Shelton Man Arrested For Apparent Road Rage New York Murder

A Shelton man was arrested Monday in connection with a murder that occurred in Queens, N.Y., in July 2011.

Shelton Police, U.S. Marshals and NYPD detectives arrested George Cupi, 52, at his Westside Lane home. The arrest stems from an apparent traffic dispute in Queens where Cupi got into an argument with two other men. Cupi left the scene after the argument but returned a short while later and shot both men, police said.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the hospital while the other survived his injuries, police said.

According to police, Cupi did not know the two men prior to the incident.

Cupi was charged in Connecticut as a fugitive from justice and given a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to make a court appearance Dec. 22 and is waiting to extradited to New York on various charges.
