Shelton Man Enters Plea in Bridgeport Heroin Overdose Death Case
The 21-year-old deceased victim was from Bridgeport.

Shelton, CT - Jorge "Capone" Morales, 30, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of Distribution of Heroin in connection with the April overdose - and eventual death - of a 21-year-old Bridgeport woman, announced United States Attorney Deirdre M. Daly.
Morales was accused of distributing heroin from April 2015 to April 2016, the investigation of which stemmed from the April 15, 2016 heroin overdose of the Bridgeport woman.
"According to the criminal complaint, the 21-year-old female was found unresponsive at her Bridgeport residence and was transported to the hospital," according to Daly. "The victim was on life support but has died. Bridgeport Police recovered two baggies of suspected heroin packaged in glassine baggies from the bed next to where the victim was located. The baggies were marked with a particular brand stamp. A cellular telephone seized from the victim revealed numerous calls and text messages between the victim and Morales in the days leading up the victim’s overdose."
