Shelton Man Receives New Heart on Valentine's Day
A Shelton couple had plans to go out for a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day, however that morning they received a life-changing call.
While most couple exchange gifts of chocolate, roses or jewelry for Valentine’s Day, a Shelton couple received a very special gift on Sunday.
A 60-year-old Shelton man received a new heart on Valentine’s Day after a 6-hour transplant surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to the Connecticut Post.
John Pesavento had a heart attack when he was just 29, and his health grew progressively worse over the years. He and his wife had plans to go out for a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day Sunday, but received a call that morning that a donor was available, the Connecticut Post reported.
