Shelton Mayor Proposed Budget with No Tax Increase
The final budget is slated to be approved by the end of May.

SHELTON, CT - Mayor Mark Lauretti is proposing a city spending plan for next year of $122.4 million, which if approved will not require a tax increase to fund.
The Shelton Herald reports that proposed budget is about $1.7 million above this year's allocation, but the mill rate would stay at 22.31 mills.
The final budget is slated to be approved by the end of May; prior to which officials will hold several hearings to discuss various proposed department and project allocations.
