Shelton Parks Department Hiring For Several Seasonal Part-Time Jobs

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Parks & Recreation are currently hiring for a few seasonal part-time positions.

The department is hiring for the following positions, according to the Community Center Facebook page:

Volleyball League Gym Attendants at Shelton Intermediate School (end of October-March)

• Mondays: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Tuesdays: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesdays: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include: Set up three volleyball nets, bring volleyballs and first aid supplies out of closet, set up score sheet for teams to come and record their game scores, sit at score table during games and remain at gymnasium until all players have left, take down nets at end of games/put away equipment, text a picture of score sheet to league director.

Basketball League Gym Attendants at Perry Hill School (beginning of November-March or April)

• Wednesdays: 5:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Thursdays: 5:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Fridays: 5:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include: Set up chairs/rolling bleachers for teams and spectators, set up score table with score clock/scorebook/first aid supplies, bring out basketballs, during games monitor hall to ensure no one walks past to wander building/no food or non-water drinks in gym/check inside gym periodically, put away equipment at end of night, remain at gym until all players have left.

Basketball League Score Keepers at Perry Hill School (beginning of November-March or April)

• Wednesdays: 5:50 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursdays: 5:50 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Fridays: 5:50 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Responsibilities include: Operate the score clock/horn, fill in scorebook during game (points and fouls per player), communicate with refs- fouls, ect., report scores to league director at end of night.
