Shelton Physician Honored with 2026 Future of Healthcare Award

The Greater Bridgeport Medical Association (GBMA) has announced that a Shelton physician has been selected to receive a 2026 Future of Healthcare Award, recognizing outstanding healthcare professionals under age 40 who are making a meaningful impact through leadership, innovation, service, and dedication to improving healthcare in the Greater Bridgeport region.

Dr. Rohan Bhojwani, founder and Medical Director of Healing Pulse Medical in Shelton, is being recognized for his commitment to patient-centered care, expanding access to healthcare, and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

A board-certified Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Bhojwani established Healing Pulse Medical with a mission of providing accessible, high-quality primary care while creating a positive experience for patients and their families. Through his leadership, the practice has grown into a respected community healthcare resource serving patients throughout the region.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bhojwani is dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through Healing Pulse Medical's observership program, he provides valuable learning opportunities for medical students and international medical graduates interested in pursuing careers in medicine.

Dr. Bhojwani is also active in community outreach efforts and charitable initiatives, supporting programs that promote health education, improve access to care, and strengthen connections between healthcare providers and the communities they serve.

Dr. Bhojwani will be honored during the inaugural Future of Healthcare Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield. The event will celebrate healthcare professionals who are helping shape the future of medicine and improve the health of communities throughout the Greater Bridgeport region.
