Shelton Physician's License Permanently Revoked By State: Report
Dr. Nami Bayan is accused of not attending required mental health therapy sessions, according to the state Medical Examining Board.
SHELTON, CT — Dr. Nami Bayan, a Shelton-based surgeon, recently had his medical license permanently revoked by the state Medical Examining Board, because he did not attend the mental health therapy sessions for which he was required, wrote the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Bayan, whose license had been under suspension, formerly worked at H & B Quality Medical Care in Shelton, and he reportedly had displayed some signs of concerning mental health behaviors.
The board, which had considered his behavior to be a "danger" to the public, ordered him to undergo therapy, which the board learned he did not attend over the course of several months.
