Shelton Police Department Adds 2 New Officers

The two graduated last month from the state Police Officer Standards and Training Academy.

Shelton, CT - The city's police department recently added two new officers to its ranks, bringing the total number of officers in the department to 52.

Officer Victoria Chapman, of Shelton, and Officer Ray Laudato, of Bridgeport, graduated in June from the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Academy and are about half-way through their month-long local field training, reports the Connecticut Post.

Chapman had already been with the department's Records Division for a couple of years before becoming an officer, reports the Shelton Herald, while Laudato previously worked in a probation office and with Bridgeport police.
