SHELTON, CT — The Shelton Police Department reminds drivers to expect road work, closures, paving and milling throughout the city as the weather warms up.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, police said warm weather means work season is underway across Shelton.

"Expect road work, closures, paving, and milling throughout the area," police wrote on Facebook.

According to police, drivers are asked to plan ahead for detours and delays and slow down in work zones.

Travelers are also asked to follow the directions of workers and police officers who are working to keeping the community safe, police said.
