SHELTON, CT — The Shelton Police Department recently announced promotions for two officers and one lieutenant.

Police Chief Shawn Sequeira announced the following promotions in a Facebook post Sunday:

  • Police Lt. Matt Kunkel has been promoted to the rank of captain.
  • Officer John Kekac has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.
  • Officer Christopher Brosz has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.

"Congratulations to these dedicated individuals on their well-deserved promotions," police said on Facebook. "Thank you for your commitment to serving our city and supporting your fellow officers."
