SHELTON, CT — A Shelton police officer briefly commandeered a golf cart to track down a man after he took off on foot toward a country club over the weekend, according to police.
In a news release posted to Facebook, police said officers were called to a Shelton home Sunday after receiving information that Michael Busto, 33, of New London, was in violation of a protective order, preventing him from being at the residence.
When officers arrived, they learned Busto had fled from the home and through the woods on foot toward Brownson County Club. Golfers told one of the officers they saw a man running across the golf course toward the Huntington Lawn Cemetery on Lane Street, police said.
