Shelton Police Search for Burglars of Bridgeport Avenue Businesses

The break-ins occurred on Nov. 27 and Nov. 30.

SHELTON, CT — Local police are searching for the thieves who broke into two businesses on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton on Nov. 27 and Nov. 30.

On the 30th, the Hair Do Salon was allegedly burglarized by the suspect seen in the above surveillance photos.

"Upon arrival officers discovered the front glass window was smashed and cash was taken from the register," wrote Shelton police in a Facebook post. "Detectives were able to retrieve the video surveillance and observed a heavy set man with a beard smash the window with a crow bar and burglarize the business."

In the other burglary on Nov. 27, Linda’s Liquors was burglarized in the same manner. No description was given of suspect or suspects.

If anyone recognizes the man in the photos from the Hair Do Salon break-in, they are urged to contact the Shelton Police Department at 203-924-1544. All calls will be kept confidential.
