Shelton Police Welcome New Officer: PD
Shelton police recently welcomed a new officer with "16 years of dedicated law enforcement service" to the department.
SHELTON, CT — Shelton police recently welcomed a new officer with nearly two decades of law enforcement experience to the department.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, the department said Mayor Mark Lauretti and Chief Shawn Sequeira welcomed Officer Jonathan Forestier to the department, who brings 16 years of dedicated law enforcement service with him to the position.
According to police, Forestier is bilingual and has earned multiple specialized training certifications throughout his career.

He has extensive experience in patrol operations and as a school resource officer, where he played a vital role in community engagement and youth safety, according to the department.
"With a strong background in policing and a commitment to service, Officer Forestier has chosen to continue his career with the Shelton Police Department," police wrote on Facebook. "We are proud to welcome him to our team."
