Shelton Public Schools Announces Grading System

Grading systems have been announced for Shelton Public School students for the rest of the year.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Public Schools has released its grading plan for the rest of the academic year now that the state has moved to distance learning until at least the start of the next school year.

Elementary school students will be graded the same as in the past for the third trimester.

Students in grades 5 through 12 will receive a letter grade between A and D for the fourth quarter. Those in the failing range will receive a grade of "distance learning incomplete" unless they opt to choose the distance learning alternate grading plan.

Alternate grading allows students and parents to select a grade of "distance learning pass, which comes with a numeric quarter four average of 65 and a GPA value of 1.
