Shelton, Seymour Manufacturers Recognized by U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy

100 CT manufacturing companies were recently recognized by the Democratic Senator.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — United States Senator Chris Murphy, D-CT, joined manufacturers from across Connecticut in Middletown on Monday to celebrate reaching a milestone of 100 "Murphy’s Monday Manufacturers."

Murphy launched his weekly "Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer" series in the fall of 2014 to recognize Connecticut’s manufacturers for their unique contributions to the state.

"Connecticut is home to thousands of incredible manufacturing companies and to an expertly skilled and devoted workforce," said Murphy.

Connecticut’s 4,600 manufacturers account for 10 percent of the state’s jobs and 96 percent of the state’s total exports.
