Shelton Superintendent Urges Families To Be Ready For Bus Strike
The union and Durham School Services are in negotiations and the union has authorized a school bus driver strike if talks fail.
SHELTON, CT — Shelton School Superintendent Chris Clouet urged Shelton families to have a plan in place in case school bus drivers go on strike. The bus driver union Durham School Services are in negotiations over a contract. The union voted to authorize a strike if talks fail.
Clouet said the intention is to keep the school system open if a strike occurs. That includes transportation for class trips and athletic events which may be compromised.
Here is Clouet's full letter to Shelton school families.
