Shots Fired At Window Of Shelton Gas Station, Man Arrested: Police
A man accused of firing shots at the window of a Shelton gas station was recently arrested, according to police.

SHELTON, CT — A man accused of firing shots at the window of a Shelton gas station Sunday night was arrested this week, according to police.
In a news release, Police Detective Chris Nugent said the department received a report of shots fired at a Cumberland Farms gas station on River Road around 10:15 p.m.
Officers found a window had been broken and recovered a spent shell casing in the parking lot, Nugent said. No injuries were reported.

After further investigation, police identified Joshua Vazquez, 18, of Shelton, as a suspect and obtained search warrants for his vehicle and home, Nugent said.
With assistance from the Connecticut State Police Gangs/Narcotics and Violent Crimes task forces, police found Vazquez in Ansonia, as well as a firearm and clothing matching the description worn in surveillance footage at the gas station, according to Nugent.

Vazquez was arrested on charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree threatening, breach of peace and illegal possession of high capacity magazine.
His bond was set at $300,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court this week, according to Nugent.
