Starbucks Commits to Newly Approved Shelton Property

The property that housed Tetley Tea will be demolished and become more retail and office space.

SHELTON, CT — Developer R.D. Scinto Inc.'s plans for the old Tetley Tea building were approved by The Planning and Zoning Commission and will bring more than 38,000 square feet of additional retail and office space to town.

Three retail structures will contain a number of businesses including a Starbucks with drive-thru, Spotted Horse Tavern and another restaurant, according to the Shelton Herald.

The existing brick building that previously housed Tetley Tea will be knocked down and the property will be re-graded.
