Teen Shot In Derby Tuesday

The teen was shot early Tuesday morning, police said.

DERBY, CT — A 17-year-old boy was shot several times in Derby early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police were called to the area of Chatfield Street near the Ryan sports complex around 1 a.m. about gunshots. Officers later located the victim walking near Griffin Hospital.

He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital and was released Tuesday morning. The bullets had grazed his skin.
