Undocumented Immigrant Gets Reprieve from Deportation

Luis Barrios got a last-minute temporary reprieve from deportation.

DERBY, CT — An undocumented immigrant has received a 30-day reprieve from being deported back to native Guatemala. Luis Barrios has been living in the United States since 1992 and a removal order was first issued in 1998.
U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy along with U.S. Rep. Rosa Delauro urged the Department of Homeland Security to reconsider deportation, according to the Middletown Press.
Barrios has no criminal record and four children who were born in the United States.

He thanked people for their support.
