SHELTON, CT — Shelton's garbage and recycling collection schedule for this week has been changed as a major winter storm continues to impact the area, according to the city.
In a Facebook post Sunday, city officials said there will be no garbage or recycling collection Monday due to the storm.
All pickups will be a day late ending with Friday's normal pickup, which will now take place on Saturday this week, according to the city.

The city's transfer station is also closed Monday.
To help keep the roads clear, a snow parking ban is in effect as of Sunday at 6 p.m., according to the city.

All cars must be moved and parked on the odd numbered side of the street until Tuesday, city officials said.
