Used Tires Illegally Dumped At State Park In Shelton: Report
CT DEEP is working to remove a truckload of used tires illegally dumped at Indian Well State Park in Shelton, according to media reports.
SHELTON, CT — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is working to remove a truckload of used tires illegally dumped at Indian Well State Park, the Shelton Herald reports. The tires were first reported at the park Aug. 16, and a Florida resident was later charged.
According to the Shelton Herald, State Rep. Jason Perillo contacted DEEP about the tires last week, however the pile remained at the park as of Monday. In the past, volunteers have cleaned up tire piles dumped in the area, however DEEP is handling removal of the most recent load.
