Utility Truck Slides Down Embankment After Crash: Shelton FD

A utility truck slid approximately 20 feet down an embankment after a crash in Shelton, according to fire officials.

SHELTON, CT — A utility truck slid approximately 20 feet down an embankment after a crash Tuesday morning in Shelton, according to fire officials.

In a news release posted to Facebook, fire officials said crews from the Shelton Fire Department were called to the area of Route 110 and Walnut Tree Hill Road around 11:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a 2-car crash.

When crews arrived, they found the occupants of both vehicles had self-extricated and a utility truck had slid about 20 feet down an embankment just off the road, fire officials said.

Crews then cleaned up a fuel spill and remained in the area for three hours until the vehicles were safely removed, fire officials said.

The driver of the utility truck was evaluated by medical crews, according to fire officials.
