Waterbury Public Schools Contracts Experiential Learning Partner
District-wide teacher training to enhance STEM and tech programming kicks off next week

(Shelton, CT) - Milestone C is delighted to announce a partnership with Waterbury Public Schools to upgrade their Career and Technical Education offerings. Designed by Fortune 500 engineers and seasoned educators, Milestone C curricula is based on the belief students need experiences that emulate real-world working conditions to make informed career and college decisions.
Milestone C’s team will oversee and manage implementation, from professional development to curriculum materials and equipment, to offer eight top-notch STEM electives at nine WPS middle and high schools. The courses, kicking off this fall, will consist of both new and existing offerings, including:
- Robotics & Automated Systems 1
- Robotics & Automated Systems 2
- Drone Technology & Engineering
- Drone Operator Prep
- Conceptual Engineering Milestones
- Engineering Design Project
- Software Development 1
- Software Development 2
Nearly five years ago, Milestone C’s co-founders identified declining innovative motivation among millennials and gen Z in the STEM/Tech workforce as an enduring problem for 21st century organizations. They have been addressing that challenge ever since, alongside their team, which has more than 100 years of collective experience in industry and education.

The Waterbury Career and Technical Education Department focuses on developing a student's competitive advantage by offering a comprehensive experience related to academic, technical, and professional skills. The department has developed a flexible academy model that includes robust career pathways and comprehensive programs of study that leverage career-connected learning, employment skills and career-ready practices. Students have embraced and demonstrated a keen interest in the programs with over 1,300 requests for the upcoming school year.
