Winning $10,000 CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Shelton

A local resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket she purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Jan. 24, Michelle Ribas claimed a winning "10X Cash 15th Edition" ticket she purchased at the Cumberland Farms on River Road.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in May 2021, and last week there were more than 70 grand prizes of $10,000 that still were unclaimed.

More than 20 second-place winning tickets of $5,000 also remained unclaimed as of last week.

The lottery printed more than 5.2 million game tickets, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
