Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Shelton

A local resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket she purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Thursday, Diane Parkins claimed a winning "20X Cash 7th Edition" ticket she purchased at Scooter's Deli Mart, on Bridgeport Avenue.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in late August, and as of Friday, 83 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
