Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Shelton
A local resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Wednesday, Jeffrey Samorajczyk claimed a winning "$100,000 Cashword 11" ticket he purchased at the Shelton Store on Shelton Avenue.
The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in July 2021, and as of Thursday, 13 grand prizes of $100,000 remained unclaimed. Additionally, 51 second prizes of $10,000 also were unclaimed.

More than 5 million tickets have been printed, and the game's overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.21.
