Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Shelton
A local resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Wednesday, Jared Hayes claimed a winning "10X Cash 15th Edition" ticket he purchased at Joe's Variety Store on Center Street.
The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in May 2021, and as of Tuesday, 61 grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed. Another 22 second place prizes of $5,000 also remain unclaimed, according to the lottery.

More than 5.2 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
