SHELTON, CT — An area resident is $11,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket last week in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Friday, Miguel Rivera Ortiz of East Haven won $11,706 playing a "KENO" game. The winning ticket was purchased from Alhamwi Enterprises LLC in Shelton.
