SHELTON, CT — An area resident is $20,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket this week in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Tuesday, a Stratford resident purchased a winning "20X Cash 9th Edition" ticket at Stop & Shop #629 in Shelton and won $20,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
