Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Ansonia

A local resident is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

ANSONIA, CT — An Ansonia resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, Martin Lawlor Jr. claimed a winning 10X Cash 15th Edition ticket he purchased at Daily Mart on North Main Street in Ansonia.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in early May, and as of Tuesday, 185 grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed. Nearly 5.3 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
