Woman Filled Turtle's Tank With Baby Powder, Threw Mattress in Creek: Police
Police say the woman vandalized her ex-boyfriend's apartment in downtown Shelton.

An Ansonia woman is facing charges after police say she vandalized her ex-boyfriend’s residence in downtown Shelton.
The arrest stems from a complaint made on July 9 where police were dispatched to the residence for the report of a break in. Police did not find any kind of force entry but found that the apartment had been vandalized.
Officers found destroyed electronics, a broken mirror, a turtle’s tank filled with baby powder and located a mattress in a creek behind the residence. The damage reported to police was estimated at $8,000.
