DNA evidence led to the arrest, police said.

ANSONIA, CT — A DNA test revealed that a woman violated a protective order after she put her fecal matter on her estranged husband's toothbrush, police said.

Leslie Laing, 48, of Milford turned herself in Sept. 14 on an active warrant to Ansonia Police. Her estranged husband said that Laing tampered with his toothbrush when she went to retrieve property from his home, police said.
