2025 Simsbury 'Hometown Heroes' Sought

SIMSBURY, CT — The Town of Simsbury is seeking nominations for recipients of this year’s Hometown Hero Awards.

Since 1986, Simsbury designates and recognizes outstanding individuals for their service to the community.

All nominees must meet the following criteria:

• A person(s) who is a resident, or who is active in the Simsbury community, or who lived in Simsbury. Groups may be considered under the same criteria.

• That the acts and services which are recognized have a significant benefit to the community.

• Individuals or groups that have been nominated for the Hometown Hero Award shall be duly considered with the following exception:

A nominee may not be a member of town staff, be a sitting elected official, or have benefited financially from his/her endeavors.

An appointed member of a board or commission may be nominated provided their work being recognized for is for actions done outside the scope of their position.

To nominate an individual or group for this award, fill out the form below specifying why the person should be given this designation.

Nominations must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, in an envelope mailed to Simsbury Town Hall addressed to the Simsbury Town Manager’s Office, Town of Simsbury, 933 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT 06070; via email to townmanager@simsbury-ct.gov; or by filling out an online form by clicking here.
