During the last week in May, the Simsbury Chamber welcomed two new members and gathered for an outside morning networking event.
On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, the board and staff of the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center (SMPAC), a newly formed 501(c) (3) non-profit, sponsored the chamber's May Good Morning, Simsbury networking event at the bandshell.
Tom Vincent, manager of the SMPAC and Dave Ryan, Chairman of the SMPAC Board of Directors, welcomed over 40 businesses on an unusually cool and blustery morning. However, we were welcomed with plenty of hot coffee and food to appease chamber members and guests during the morning event.

Tom and Dave ran through an exciting list of upcoming events including the Talcott Mountain Music Festival, Summer Concert Series and two upcoming jazz festivals. SMPAC board members solicited both volunteers to help with the summer concerts and donors for the newly formed non-profit as well as unveiling their new website.

New owners of Route 10 Pizza, Murtaza Jawad and Zohra Zahedi, look forward to serving pizza's and grinders or their quick lunch specials to local residents and the bike community at their 542 Hopmeadow location. Call ahead or take advantage of their delivery service!

Rob Wagner, owner of Onion Mountain Catering, located in the Simsburytown Shops, also joined the Simsbury Chamber this week. Rob will specialize in farm-to-table cuisine using local organic ingredients. Onion Mountain Catering offers catering for all occasions.
