Isn’t it squirrels who bury their acorns in the fall and then seem to forget where they put them and frantically dig in various places to find them again? I can relate to this. I am feeling harbingers of spring in the air, people out jogging, crows on bare branches doing what crows do, magazines telling me to plant seeds, the preponderance of cobwebs in my house and spring registrations beckoning.
Like the squirrels looking for their acorns they put away in a safe place, I am looking for my non-black clothes and floral patterned sheets and eating Cadbury cream eggs (because I see them). I know what the weatherman says, but we have had a taste of 60 degrees and it can’t be long.
For those not away on vacation this week in Simsbury, here is some goings-on you might be interested in:

Friday, February 25 – Check out Farms Village Antiques on 250 Farms Village Road in West Simsbury. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. See www.farmsvillageantiques.com.
And don’t forget the Oscars are on Sunday at 8 p.m. and it is nice to be an informed viewer. I do highly recommend True Grit and The King’s Speech, which are playing at in Simsbury.
