Popular Simsbury Band Releases Latest Album, Plans West Hartford Show

Their new EP dropped earlier this month, with a release show this week and local workshop planned in May.

SIMSBURY/WEST HARTFORD, CT — HannaH’s Field, a Simsbury-based roots and reggae-influenced group, has released its new album "Dream Frequency" with a live performance scheduled this week in West Hartford.

The band’s songwriter and frontwoman, HannaH (aka Hannah Ardenski), said the project centers on themes of resilience and connection during uncertain times.

“In a time when many are searching for meaning and a steady ground, Dream Frequency promotes courage over fear and connection over division,” she said.

A release show is planned for Friday, April 24, at New Park Brewing, 485 New Park Ave., West Hartford, where the band will perform the EP in full.

The event will also feature live painting by artist DIP SouLION, who designed the album artwork, and an additional set by The Decker Bandits.

Based in Simsbury, HannaH’s Field describes its sound as “Reggae Wrapped in Mother Earth Roots.”

The group has released seven albums to date, including "Revolutionary Soldiers" and "Crystal Vision," both of which received airplay on SiriusXM. Revolutionary Soldiers reached No. 11 on the Relix radio chart.

The band has performed at festivals and venues across New England and has opened for national acts including Derek Trucks, Mihali, Donna Jean Godchaux, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, and Gov’t Mule, among others.

Performances vary in format, from a duo featuring HannaH on guitar and vocals, with Andy “Bliss” Ardenski on drums and bass, to a full-band lineup including John Pitblado, Chris Anander, and Aidan Moore.

HannaH said some of the EP’s songs were inspired by “seeing many friends struggle to find their way in life,” with the project exploring both “the pains of feeling separate and lost” and the potential for personal growth.

Beyond music, HannaH works as a certified life coach and yoga instructor, incorporating mindfulness and personal development into her work. “Music has the power to create community connection, awaken creativity, and heal the human heart,” she said.

The band will also host a workshop, “The Art of Raising Your Vibration,” on May 3 at The Lucky Gut Collective, 10 Wilcox St., Simsbury.

The session will combine breathwork, visualization, and music from the new EP, inviting participants to “let go of what is no longer serving them and reconnect to their inner peace and clarity.”
