SIMSBURY, CT — A section of Iron Horse Boulevard and the adjacent multi-use trail will be closed from Monday, April 27, through Thursday, April 30, due to construction tied to the band shell project at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, town officials said.
The closure will affect the area north of the driveway to the venue.
Officials said both the roadway and trail are expected to be inaccessible during the work period.
Despite the closure, Paw Meadow Dog Park and Rotary Park Boundless Playground will remain open.
Motorists can still reach the driveway on Iron Horse Boulevard by approaching from Drake Hill Road, according to Simsbury Public Works.
Pedestrians are advised to bypass the affected section of the trail by using the sidewalks along Hopmeadow Street to reconnect with the path.
Officials noted that bicycles are not permitted on sidewalks.
