SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Sustainability Committee will host a public forum on electric vehicles on Monday, April 27, at the Simsbury Public Library.
The event at the library, located at 725 Hopmeadow St., will feature a presentation and panel discussion on costs, models, and incentives.
Barry Kresch, president of the Connecticut EV Club, is scheduled to speak at the event, which begins at 7 p.m.
He will discuss new electric vehicle models and available financial incentives.
Kresch will be joined by Tom Roy, Simsbury’s director of public works and town engineer, and Steve Mitchell, vice president of Mitchell Auto Group in Simsbury, as part of a panel expected to take audience questions.
The committee said the event is intended to provide residents with information about electric vehicle ownership, including operating and maintenance costs, as well as the expanding availability of charging infrastructure.
The session will focus on information-sharing and public engagement, with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
