Simsbury Library To Discuss Program To Help Send Veterans To DC Memorials

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury DEI Council and Simsbury Public Library will host an informational presentation about Honor Flight Connecticut on Saturday, May 16, in recognition of Armed Forces Day.

The program is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow St.

Organizers said the presentation will focus on the Honor Flight Connecticut program, a nonprofit organization that transports military veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials dedicated to their service.

The library said light refreshments will be served following the presentation.

The event is being hosted in partnership with the Simsbury DEI Council.

Advance registration is encouraged through the Simsbury Public Library.
